Ricardo Chance

Building the future of digital experiences through design, technology, and human imagination

About

I'm Ricardo — a design engineer from Buenos Aires who got into tech through business, fell in love with the web, and never stopped pushing what it can do. I care about craft, precision, and building things that feel different.

I specialize in the intersection of design and code — building 3D experiences, scroll-driven stories, and motion-rich interfaces. I think in systems but obsess over details. The kind of work that takes a week longer because it deserves it.

Beyond creative development, I have roots in product design, UX, and full-stack engineering — Node.js, GraphQL, Supabase, workflow automation. Before tech, I spent five years in business administration: planning, strategy, operations. That context shapes how I work. I understand what a project needs to achieve, not just how it should look or function.

Curently

Outside of client work, I explore 3D art and environments in Blender, game mechanics in Unreal Engine, and the boundaries between creative tools — where art, technology, and product thinking overlap. I'm currently studying Innovation & Startups Management at Universidad de Palermo. I'm drawn to generative systems, emergent design, and building things just to understand how they work. I learn by building. Always have.

Expertise

I have worked in the technology industry since 2017, performing different roles, such as Software Engineer and UX/UI Product Designer. Before entering the technology field, I worked for approximately 5 years in business administration, focused on business planning, strategy, operations and leadership.

Approach

I don't separate design from engineering — they're the same conversation. I start with the problem, build with intention, and don't stop until the details are right. I ask questions before I open Figma. I push back when something doesn't serve the goal. And I stay involved end-to-end — because handoffs lose context, and context is where the good work lives.

Purpose

I got into this because the web felt like the most democratic creative medium ever made. Anyone could build something real and put it in front of the world. That still drives me. I want to make things that are genuinely good — technically, visually, and in what they do for the people who use them.

What to expect

Clarity from day one. I scope carefully, communicate directly, and flag problems early. Opinionated collaboration. I bring perspective, not just execution. If something can be better, I'll say so. Work that holds up. Performant, maintainable, and built to last — not just to ship.
